Tewkesbury and district schools. Years 5 and 6, 5-a-side (Bee netball – Stingers). Squads up to 9 players – please see rules on restrictions for boys. While keeping to the rules, the aim of this festival is a friendly ‘Get into Netball’. Most children will be very new to netball, with little or no experience. Games will be scored but teachers are encouraged to coach/help players as will the young umpires. We are hoping to have enough young umpires but this is not guaranteed so please be prepared to officiate and coach your team. There will be no overall collation of results but School Games wristbands will be awarded at the end. We will hold a competitive tournament in the Spring.

Will we set the posts at 8 feet rather than the official 9 feet to aid scoring. Leniency on the footwork rule and offside will also be allowed. A briefing and explanation will be given at the start.
