Active Maths uses PE and physical activity to raise achievement in maths, It helps to support progress and attainment across the whole school and raises aspirations to narrow the learning gap.
The benefits of active learning in the classroom are widely acknowledged in a variety of areas of the curriculum. Not only does it allow core curriculum subjects such as maths to be taught in a fun and engaging way, but increases physical activity in children when meeting recommended standards is challenging.
‘The 360 Active Maths Challenge’! In partnership with Maths of the Day workshop is fully funded whereby providing research and practical ideas to implement active maths across the curriculum.
