Feet First is an all-day dance festival organised by Move More, bringing together primary schools from across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. Held at the prestigious Cheltenham Town Hall, this event offers children a unique opportunity to showcase their dance routines under professional stage lighting in a spectacular setting.
Festival Dates
Schools may select their preferred date:
- Thursday 26 February 2026
- Tuesday 3 March 2026
What to Expect on the Day
The day will include:
- A live rehearsal for each school’s performance
- A practice walk-through introduction parade to open the event
- Performances split into two acts, with children watching the other half of the show when not performing
Ticket Information
Tickets will be available via a link shared with schools, which can be forwarded to parents so they may attend the afternoon performance.
School Participation Guidelines
- Schools may submit up to two dance groups (for example, a mixed-age dance club and a year group performance)
- A maximum of 90 children per school may participate
Dance Preparation Notes
- Performances should ideally be no longer than 3 minutes
- The event uses an arena-style layout, with the audience seated on all sides of the performance area. We recommend avoiding choreography that is front-facing only
- Performance space is approximately 17 metres long by 6.5 metres wide
- Please ensure the music submitted is under 3 minutes, where possible

Please complete the registration form to confirm your school’s participation.
Following the registration deadline, we will send a Dance Details Form to all registered schools. This form must be completed and returned by 10 January 2025. The information provided will be used to plan the schedule and produce a detailed programme for both event days.
