Teams: Max entry 2 per school. Students from both Years 5 & 6 make up a team/teams. One team consists of 4 riders (2 x boys and 2 x girls).
Format: Run on a cross track and grass area. The competition is based on a team relay challenge; completing a set number of laps of the designated course in a specified amount of time approx 15 mins. The overall winning team will be the team who complete the required number of laps first. If time allows there will also be an open entry individual Time trial Race (1 lap) for any team members to take part in on the day – this will be a separate competition with medals to be won in addition to the team events but will not contribute to qualification.
Equipment: British Cycling will provide bikes and helmets. Individuals are more than welcome to bring their own helmet if they prefer.
Qualification: The top two teams will qualify for the Level 3 Summer Games at Hartpury College.
