Topic: Managing tantrums, meltdowns and shutdowns
Description: We have all probably experienced “terrible twos”; some of us mention “troublesome threes” and “ferocious fours”, but by the age of 5 or 6 most of us expect children to have grown out of meltdowns and tantrums. No wonder that we are caught by surprise to realise that these behaviours don’t stop there and can continue well into the “tween” years (8-12), while shutdowns can happen at any age.
But the real question is – how do we navigate this world of tantrums, meltdowns and shutdowns?
If you’d like to learn how to recognise if your child is having a tantrum, meltdown or shutdown, please join us for our next online session. We’ll be talking about how to respond to each of these while supporting our children’s emotional and mental well-being.
