Teams: are made up of three male year 9 riders. Full safety briefings and course preparation will be undertaken before the race but participants will need to be competent with handling and riding a mountain bike.
Format: completed on a cross-country track. Competition is based on a team challenge; completing a set number of laps of the designated course in a specified amount of time. The overall winning team will be the team who complete the required number of laps first. A separate individual time trial will occur serving as a warm up.
Equipment: British Cycling will provide bikes and helmets. Individuals are more than welcome to bring their own helmet if they prefer.
