Parent feedback from 2020 – “The Health Passports should be GLOBAL!”

What is Well-being?

Well-being is how you feel about yourself, how comfortable, healthy and happy you are. It can be linked to both your physical and mental health. Your brain plays a big part in how you feel about yourself. It is where you have the ability to control your feelings, your body and your thoughts. It is also where your “worry brain” lives – part of your brain that makes you worry or makes you frightened. Well-being is also about doing things that help keep your “worry brain” in check and learning how to calm it down. Feelings of well-being are very important to your overall health, helping you to successfully overcome difficulties and achieve what you want in life.

What are the Five Ways To Well-being?

The Five Ways to Well-being Framework was developed by the New Economics Foundation as a set of five evidence based actions and public mental health messages, aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of the whole population. Based on the latest scientific evidence, the simple actions, if taken regularly, can improve well-being and enhance quality of life.

CONNECT – TAKE NOTICE – BE ACTIVE – KEEP LEARNING – GIVE

The Move More KS 1 and KS2 Health Passports were created by our team of sports and health specialists and it introduces the Five Ways across a 4 week programme of activities, enabling your young ones to better understand what their body and mind need, in order to work well and create good living habits to achieve optimal well-being. These can be done in school or at home, on their own or with friends and family.
